Many companies out there say they are the best at making peripherals for gaming. Yet, do they really know what they are talking about or are they just copying the other guy? Well, I am going to be talking a lot about products in this post. I am also going to be talking a lot about the specs of each and every one of these products.
I will start this off with the Razer DeathAdder Chroma since it is one of the better gaming mice around and the newest that I know of.
- The Razer Deathadder Chroma, is an ergonomic right handed design
- It has a 10 thousand DPI optical sensor
- Chroma lighting with 16.8 million color options
- Razer Synapse Endabled
- 5 programable buttons
- 1000hz ultrapooling
- On the fly sensativity adjustment
- Always on
- 300 inch per second accelerartion
- Gold plated USB connector
- 7 foot braided fiber cable
- Approximate size: 127mm/5” (Length) x 70mm/2.76” (Width) x 44mm/ 1.73” (Height)
- Approximate weight: 105g/0.23lbs
- PC or Mac with a free USB port
- Windows® 8/ Windows® 7 / Windows Vista® / Windows® XP (32-bit)/ Mac OS X (v10.7-10.9)
- 100MB of hard disk space.
Now with all that being said. What does this beast cost, and what does all this crap mean? Well I am glad you asked. I have done a lot of research on mice over the past few months and have come to realize that if the mouse doesn't feel right in your hand it isn't worth your time. Now onward with the pricing...( Prior to me giving out the pricing this is without any special add-ons for having an account with these companies, along with not having a subscription to things like Prime)
Amazon- $54.99
NewEgg- $59.99
BestBuy- $56.99
WalMart- $71.34
Razer- $69.99
All prices where found on the websites of each company selling said product.
I also would highly suggest buying them online, since some of the stores may not have the inventory on said item or any of the items you may be looking for.
Now with all those specs I gave you. There are a lot of those that really mean nothing. There was one spec I left out because it said Internet Connection... really? I need an Internet connection for Synapse? The always on feature can be a little odd. I know my mouse also has an always on feature which just means it is drawing power from your computer's power supply while your computer is off.
One of the main things that Razer is known for are its slogan and its green symbol on everything. It's like adding a sticker to your car to make it go faster. ( Hey, each sticker adds 5 MPH.) Really, though Razer makes some of the best gaming gear out there. I honestly can't say I am a fanboy, but if I had any of Razer's products I wouldn't be complaining.
The 10 thousand DPI is huge for a mouse. I have seen others that call themselves gaming mice with no where near that. The "On the fly sensitivity adjustment" should be a staple for any gaming mouse. With the 300 inch per second acceleration, you can headshot guys faster than your computer can download java. With the gold plated USB though, I have heard so many things about gold plated USB's and HDMI cords that I honestly don't really care. Yeah the mouse inputs can travel faster to your computer, but if the cord isn't as good then it wont even work they way it says it will. Oh and have you ever just thought about how fast the human body reacts? A computer is faster than that now. With the 7 foot braided fiber cable, it will help the Gold plated USB, while not getting tangled up all the time, but do I really need 7 feet? Really??? I am not even that tall. So having my mouse cord taller than I am, can and will make your reactions slower in games. The longer the distance the input has to travel the slower the reaction time.
Common sense here people. If you want something that works best for you, then see if you can test them out first. Go to your local Walmart, BestBuy, or electronics store. See if you can get a hands on preview of the item. See how it feels. Is it to light? Will you hit the buttons while trying to grip your mouse? Do you need all of those colors?
I am in no way trying to convince you to buy this product. This is just the first in a very long line of reviews that I will be doing on product specs and prices. I would like to ask you though, if you are in the market for a new mouse or anything else related to gaming. That you might want to click one of the links to Amazon on my blog.
I am trying harder than ever before to promote this blog. I am also trying to provide for myself, and my family, as well. All this information I will be putting in these product and pricing reviews will always be free. I am just taking the time to put these together. So you don't have to go searching for the best price on a given product that you are looking at. The only thing I will ask is that if you are looking for new peripherals is that you click one of those links, and if you aren't...well go have a look at my YouTube channel and my other social media. I want to hear from you guys on what you want me to review next.
