New Start

     Well, it has been a while since I have worked on my blog at all. I have done a lot in the past two years. I have busted my tail to get a YouTube channel up and running. I have also learned a lot about gaming and the game industry. I have learned that only hard work will prevail and keep my dreams going. I have wanted to be a part of the gaming industry since I first held a N64 controller. (I was playing games before that but I didn't understand that there was more to games than playing them. Lol)

  In the past few years I have watched as gaming giants (Lucas Arts) close their doors. I have seen games get hyped beyond belief only to fail in the long run (Destiny, Assassin's Creed Unity) I have seen companies give early access (alpha) to gamers for money. I have seen and heard promises that were never kept by game developers. 

 Now all that being said. I don't blame the companies for going for a quick money grab. I blame the hype and the money itself. Gamers deserve a finished game. Gamers deserve the right to be paid to alpha and beta test games. ( I have alpha and beta tested many of the biggest MMO flops of the last 4 years.) I myself have also bought into the idea of early access a few times and I find it sad. That I have even shelled out 20 buck just to get a first taste of what a game could be like. Only to realize that the game we are playing isn't even close to what the game will be like.

 So, here I sit behind my desk. Coffee in hand, headset on waiting for the next adrenaline rush that is playing a game worth my time. I can't remember the last game I finished. (I think it was GTA5) Yet I can't say that for certain. Games are everywhere. I have dozens of games on my Steam account that I haven't even touched in years. Yet there they sit. Waiting for me to play them. 

 Like everyone else I want to be playing the next big game. Yet that doesn't seem right. When I started gaming. It was all about how I had to get to the next level in Mario. Or how I hated that dog when it laughed at me. (Duck hunt for you young people) Back before Halo, Mass Effect, Or any of these huge gaming franchises. Gaming was, well just gaming. Yes competition is something that we as humans do all the time. Yet why is it that I only find myself playing games that everyone else wants to play. Why can't I find a game that I just want to play.  Why can't I spend hours in a world and get lost in it. Only to find out that I was never lost at all. 

 With all this being said. I am going to be going about things differently. I will be updating this blog as often as I can.  I will be playing and reviewing games that I have played. I will be beating my head against a wall waiting for the games that hark back to the good old days that remind me that gaming is just that. Gaming...
